Looking for a GP Role With Genuine Support and Room to Lead? This Could Be Your Perfect Fit
I’m excited to share a brilliant opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon who’s ready to take ownership of a loyal client base while still benefiting from the support of an experienced senior colleague. If you’re searching for a role that blends independence with strong clinical backup, this could be exactly what you’ve been waiting for.
About the Role
This first-opinion position can be tailored between 35–40 hours per week, offering a great balance between autonomy and teamwork. Your schedule will include a 1:4 Saturday rotation, a light 1:8 Sunday rotation, and one bank holiday per year.
You’ll have day-to-day support from an established senior vet, a skilled RVN, trainee nurses, and a committed regional management team. Whether you’re refining your surgical skills or focusing on high-quality consult work, you’ll be surrounded by people who want you to thrive.
The clinic is well-equipped and especially well-suited to someone with a surgical interest, with facilities such as dental radiography and an ideal setup for orthopaedic or advanced soft tissue procedures. Out-of-hours care and complex referrals are handled by a nearby 24-hour hospital featuring CT imaging, advanced diagnostics, and a team of highly experienced clinicians.
There are no on-call requirements, ensuring you maintain a healthy balance between work and life.
What You’ll Receive
To ensure you feel supported, valued, and able to grow, this role includes a comprehensive and thoughtfully designed benefits package, featuring:
-
Competitive salary (£45,000–£65,000 FTE) depending on experience, with clear potential to progress
-
Extensive annual leave, including bank holidays
-
Substantial CPD support, with enhanced funding and protected learning days
-
Paid professional memberships and licences, removing administrative and financial burdens
-
A strong wellbeing offering, including confidential assistance programmes
-
Staff discounts across clinical services and affiliated partners
This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet who wants to step into a role where they can truly make an impact, supported by a skilled team and excellent clinical resources.
