Your Next Career Move: A Supportive Sole-Charge Role with Real Community Impact
I’m delighted to share a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys autonomy, connection with clients, and the satisfaction of truly owning their caseload. If you love being the familiar, trusted face in a close-knit community, this role could be the perfect fit.
About the Role
This is a sole-charge position with a well-balanced GP caseload—ideal for a confident vet who enjoys a mix of consultations, routine surgeries and meaningful client relationships. You’ll have the stability of an experienced support team who’ve been part of the practice for decades, complemented by clinical guidance from regional leadership whenever you need it.
The role includes a 40-hour week, incorporating a light weekend rota and occasional hospital shifts with full time-off-in-lieu. Flexibility is available, and part-time or split-site options can also be explored.
And while you’ll run your own day-to-day workflow, you’ll never feel isolated—there is a nearby 24-hour hospital offering advanced imaging, specialist support and emergency cover, ensuring your patients always have access to comprehensive care.
What You’ll Receive
This position comes with a strong and thoughtfully designed package, including:
-
Competitive salary (£60,000–£65,000) with room to progress
-
No on-call duties, supporting excellent work–life balance
-
Generous holiday entitlement, including bank holidays
-
Substantial CPD funding plus protected learning time
-
Private medical insurance for added peace of mind
-
Covered professional fees and access to wellbeing support
-
Paid breaks and a range of staff discounts
Everything is structured to help you thrive—clinically, professionally, and personally.
