We’re working with a progressive, practice in Edinburgh that’s currently on the lookout for a vet with a strong interest in internal medicine. If you enjoy getting stuck into complex cases, value continuity of care, and want to work in a supportive environment where diagnostics and clinical thinking are genuinely encouraged – this one’s for you.
The team already includes two surgically inclined vets, so they’re ideally looking to balance things out with a medicine-focused vet who enjoys the investigative side of general practice.
The Role:
Internal medicine-led caseload with a focus on diagnostics, workups and patient continuity
Encouraged to follow through cases and supported with the time and tools to do it properly
Full-time preferred, but open to part-time options for the right candidate
No OOH or Sunday work
About the Practice:
Independent small animal practice based in Edinburgh
Established team of vets, RVNs and support staff
Strong client base and a collaborative, quality-first culture
Clinical freedom and case continuity genuinely supported
What They’re Looking For:
A vet with a clear medicine bias
Confident managing unselected medical cases and comfortable with routine surgery
Strong communicator who values teamwork and great client care
Ideally 2+ years’ experience, though open to the right profile
What’s on Offer:
Competitive salary depending on experience
Flexible rota with no evenings or on-call
Generous CPD allowance with support for certificates
Proper work-life balance and a team that gets on
This is an excellent opportunity for a vet who wants to carve out a medicine-led role in a team that will value their clinical strengths. For more details or a confidential chat, reach out to Sophie today by sending your CV via APPLY.
