Veterinary Surgeon- Local Veterinary Group

  • Salary: Up to £67,000 FTE DOE

A Veterinary Group in Worthing is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join the team. The successful candidate will prioritize animal welfare and provide appropriate attention and care for the animals using knowledge of animal physiology, nutrition, medicine, practical skills, and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in accordance with the Vet Charter and ensure an effective consultation process for all patients.

  • Record patient information, treatment, diagnostic reports, and charges into the computer system.

  • Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate information to the nursing team.

  • Inform clients of test results and update on results, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment options/cost, and progress after treatment.

  • Ensure that all work is charged appropriately.

  • Carry out house visits when required and comply with legal obligations related to prescriptions, safekeeping, and supply of veterinary medicinal products.
