Our Client who we are pleased to be working with a practice who are seeking a veterinary surgeon to join their small animal practice. You would be joining a team of six vets, in a dedicated modern practice building. The position will involve consulting and surgery, providing care for the patients entrusted to the practice. You will have access to imaging through ultrasound and x-ray (including dental x-ray), surgical theatre, endoscopy, bronchoscopy and separate dog and cat wards.

Rota:
The position is a full-time post, worked over four or five days per week depending on your preference. This would involve a mix of shift patterns allowing us to operate between 8am and 6.30pm with one in three Saturday mornings from 8.30 until 12.30, with no out of hours work.

About them:

They have a stable and experienced team of Vets that have a broad experience both medically and surgically.

There are six vets and 7 RVNs, supported by an SVN, ANA and receptionist. They have one certificate holder in small animal medicine and other vets who have an interest in surgery and diagnostic imaging. The successful candidate will be able to investigate and treat their patients to a high level along with being supported with CPD and study for a certificate if desired.

What you’ll bring:

Good communication skills with colleagues and clients, clinical experience, an ability to confidently perform neutering surgery in both cats and dogs is a minimum essential requirement along with a driving licence. Desirable requirements are the will to develop clinically, be involved in clinical discussions,  a basic understanding of clinic operation and a willingness to contribute to QI initiatives.

Salary:
​Up to £65,000 depending on experience, plus benefits
