We at Lloyd & Cowan are thrilled to be working with a practice who are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their busy hospital.
This lively hospital will provide the successful candidate with a wide caseload in a fun and stimulating environment.
Ideal Candidate:
The suitable candidate will be a driven, dynamic, ambitious individual with exceptional communication skills and the ability to thrive in a busy hospital environment. The successful candidate will be expected to have a strong medical bias and be confident in all aspects of managing hospital cases, including emergency work and be a strong in performing ultrasonography and echocardiography.
About them:
The varied hospital caseload ranges from routine first option cases, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgical caseload and inpatient care, with a hospital caseload fed from several surrounding practices. There is an experienced team of night vets and nurses to look after your cases over night and ensure case continuity.
The practice provides a range of services to its patients and neighbouring branches, including ultrasound, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, emergency services and hospitalisation. It’s patients also have access to other services.
You will be part of a fun and vibrant team, with night vets and nurses to take care of your patients overnight, and all your cases being worked up to a high clinical standard.
Salary:
Up to £60k
Benefits:
£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days’ CPD leave per annum or pro rata and in-house CPD training
5 weeks annual leave, plus bank holidays
VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
4 day week with 1:3 or 1:6 weekends
Skills and experience:
Have a keen interest in medicine, ideally with a medicine certificate
Competent ultrasonography including echocardiography
Veterinary Surgeon who is registered with the RCVS
