Veterinary Surgeon – Buckingham, Buckinghamshire
£55,000 - £70,000 DOE + certificate support + no OOH
A well-established, supportive practice in Buckingham is looking to welcome a third vet to their growing team. This is a great opportunity for a small animal vet who enjoys variety, values team culture, and wants a role where flexibility and work-life balance are genuinely prioritised.
The Practice
This friendly, forward-thinking clinic has been serving the local community for over 10 years and has built a loyal client base. Facilities include digital x-ray, ultrasound, laser therapy, in-house lab, separate cat and dog wards, and a fully equipped theatre.
You'll be joining a team of two experienced vets, a strong nursing and support team, and regular locum cover who return time and again—proof of the positive working environment.
The Role
Full-time (40 hours) or part-time considered
No out-of-hours
1 in 3 Saturdays (8am–6pm), with flexibility
Mix of consults and surgery, with time to build cases and client relationships
Sole charge on occasion, so confidence in general first-opinion work is needed
What They’re Looking For
A competent vet with a good grounding in general practice and strong communication skills. Someone who enjoys working collaboratively but is confident enough to handle sole charge when required.
What’s on Offer
Salary from £55,000 to £70,000 DOE
Generous CPD allowance
Certificate support available
Paid memberships (RCVS, VDS, BVA)
Pension scheme, life assurance, income protection
