A reputable veterinary specialty hospital, The Oncology Service (TOS), is seeking a talented Veterinary Radiologist to join their established team in Richmond, Virginia. With over 15 years of experience in providing exceptional oncology care for companion animals in the Mid-Atlantic region, TOS operates three practice locations in Virginia and aims to enhance their service capabilities.
About The Oncology Service: The brand-new, state-of-the-art facility features a 3,000-square-foot Medical Oncology suite designed with staff safety in mind. It includes a negative pressure chemotherapy compounding room, five consultation rooms, and patient exam and housing areas that adhere to Fear Free standards. The 1,700-square-foot Radiation Oncology and imaging suite is equipped with two consultation rooms, a Vet-Ray digital x-ray unit, an 8-slice GE CT scanner, and a Varian linear accelerator capable of IMRT/IGRT/SRT/VMAT. Additionally, the hospital utilizes Heska Element blood analyzers and Antech digital cytology equipment for efficient diagnostics.
Team Environment: TOS is proud of its experienced support staff, which includes a highly skilled group of tenured technicians, one of whom holds a VTS in Oncology. Staff members participate in rigorous development plans, including the Purdue Veterinary Technician Licensure program for all veterinary assistants, ensuring the highest standards of patient care. All team members are Fear Free certified, promoting a compassionate patient experience.
