The Role
Reporting to the Clinic Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality veterinary nursing care while supporting veterinarians and contributing to the efficient day-to-day operation of the clinic.
Key responsibilities include:

Providing professional, compassionate nursing care, including the administration of medications and anaesthesia

Monitoring patients throughout procedures and recovery, responding appropriately to changes in condition

Assisting with surgical procedures and maintaining theatre standards

Communicating treatment plans and post-care instructions clearly and professionally to clients

Supporting and mentoring colleagues where appropriate

Collaborating with veterinarians and clinic staff to maintain efficient clinical workflows

Managing clinical supplies and maintaining accurate medical records
About You

Essential requirements include:

Legal right to work in New Zealand

Diploma in Veterinary Nursing with a minimum of two years’ practical experience

Experience or strong interest in anaesthesia and patient monitoring

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
