Registered Veterinary Nurse – Join a Supportive, Fun & Forward-Thinking Team | Oxfordshire Region

We’re working with a thriving, independent-minded small animal practice in a beautiful rural location in the Oxfordshire area, and they’re looking to welcome a passionate and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse into their close-knit team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who loves variety in their work, enjoys clinical freedom, and wants to be part of a genuinely friendly and supportive environment.

The Practice

This is a modern, RCVS-accredited practice that blends a traditional community ethos with forward-thinking clinical care. Established several decades ago, the practice has built a loyal client base who are open to gold-standard workups and value high-quality service.

You’ll be joining a facility equipped with all the essential tools—digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab, Class IV laser—and a collaborative team of vets, RVNs, and support staff who enjoy sharing ideas and having a good laugh in between cases. It’s a practice where the kettle is always on and teamwork is truly at the heart of how they operate.

The Role

  • Full-time, 38 hours across 4 days per week

  • 1 in 4 Saturday mornings only (short shifts)

  • No out-of-hours, and you’ll always leave on time

You’ll enjoy a balanced role that includes time in theatre, inpatient care, and consultations. The team are looking for someone confident, organised, and collaborative—someone who enjoys engaging with clients and can contribute to a positive working culture.

This would suit a nurse who thrives in general practice, is proactive in their approach, and values being part of a small, well-bonded team where your voice is heard and appreciated.

What’s on Offer

  • A competitive salary in line with experience (circa £30,000+)

  • Generous annual leave entitlement

  • Funded CPD with flexibility to pursue your interests

  • Paid professional memberships

  • A strong focus on wellbeing, development, and career progression

  • A range of lifestyle and retail benefits

  • Excellent support structure and regular clinical development opportunities

Location Perks

Based in a scenic village setting just a short drive from Oxford and on the edge of the Cotswolds, this is an ideal spot for anyone who enjoys countryside living with the convenience of easy access to city life. Whether you love canal walks, historic towns, or a peaceful commute, this location ticks all the boxes.
