We’re working with a modern, multi-vet practice in South Essex seeking a confident and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The Role at a Glance

6-month fixed-term contract (maternity or workload cover)

Full-time hours, with a stable and fair rota

Involvement across all areas of nursing—surgical, medical, inpatient care, and nurse consultations

Opportunity to support and lead nurse-led clinics and assist with minor procedures

Minimal or no reception duties

RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

Strong clinical skills across a range of nursing duties

Excellent communication and organisation abilities

Able to work both independently and as part of a wider clinical team

Committed to delivering high standards of care to both patients and clients
Key Responsibilities

Assist with procedures, anaesthesia monitoring, and post-op recovery

Deliver exceptional care to inpatients and ensure their comfort and welfare

Run nurse-led consultations where appropriate

Handle admissions, discharges, and client updates
-
Dispense medications and ensure accurate record keeping
-
Support the daily running of the clinic, stock control, and lab sample handling

Promote a safe and compliant working environment in line with practice and regulatory standards
