Mixed Practice Veterinarian - Country Living with Purpose, Variety & Heart

Location: North Burnett Region, QLD

Looking to swap city stress for wide open skies, genuine community, and meaningful mixed practice work? This vibrant, progressive clinic in regional Queensland is calling your name.

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established, independently owned mixed practice that's as passionate about animals as they are about supporting their team. Whether you’re a solo vet or a vet couple, this is a rare chance to join a tight-knit, down-to-earth team where your work is valued and your lifestyle matters.

About the Clinic:
This 6-vet team delivers true mixed animal care across the beautiful North Burnett region, with roughly a 60:40 large-to-small animal split. No two days are the same - morning dog vaccines, a lunchtime calving callout, and equine dentals in the afternoon.

The clinic is fully equipped, well-supported, and big on teamwork. They’ve created a positive, collaborative environment where vets love what they do - and look out for each other while doing it.

Why You’ll Love It Here:

  • Supportive team culture focused on mentorship, communication, and a good laugh
  • Flexible work week (4 days) with genuine respect for work-life balance
  • Mixed caseload with room to tailor toward your interests - small, large, or reproduction
  • Repro-focused practice: AI, TCI, embryo transfer, and more. BULLCHECK & PREGCHECK accredited vets on staff and ready to mentor.
  • Regular team meetings, case discussions, and opportunities to learn from one another
  • Fully equipped vehicles including equine gastroscope, digital X-rays, power floats, and more

About You:
You’re a vet who thrives on variety and values being part of a close, capable team. You bring curiosity, calm, and compassion to every case, and you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves for something new. Whether you're a new grad or experienced vet, this team will back you every step of the way.

The Community:
This is a town where people know your name, respect your work, and make you feel at home. Enjoy affordable living, fresh air, and a slower pace - plus easy access to nature, good coffee, and a real sense of belonging.

The Offer:

  • Salary well above award + relocation support
  • AVA membership, SIG memberships, and 1 week CPD/conference leave
  • Flexible rostering and burnout prevention are top priorities
  • A forward-thinking, tech-friendly team using AI tools to streamline workflow
  • A values-led culture that’s supportive, passionate, and proud of what they do

If you're looking for more than just a job - a place to grow, connect, and thrive - this could be your perfect next step.
