Registered Veterinary Nurse – Leading Small Animal Hospital | Kildare
We’re currently working with a well-regarded and progressive veterinary hospital in Kildare that’s looking to welcome an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an RVN with 2+ years of experience who is ready to take on a new challenge within a well-supported, high-standard clinical setting.

You’ll be joining a dynamic, friendly team of vets, nurses, and support staff who are passionate about patient care and creating a positive workplace culture.
The Role:
As a key member of the nursing team, you'll support both routine and advanced clinical procedures and contribute to the day-to-day running of the hospital. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with surgeries and anaesthetic monitoring

Administering treatments, medications, and providing in-patient care

Supporting diagnostic workups and recovery

Maintaining accurate patient records and drug handling protocols
-
Engaging with clients at reception and supporting them with advice and education
-
Maintaining stock and equipment, and ensuring high clinical hygiene standards

Promoting preventative healthcare plans and insurance where appropriate

Collaborating with the head nurse and lead vet to ensure smooth, efficient workflows

Contributing to staff training and mentoring where needed
About You:
-
Registered (or eligible for registration) with the Veterinary Council of Ireland
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a small animal practice
-
Confident with nursing duties, clinical decision-making, and patient handling
-
Excellent communication and organisational skills
-
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
-
Positive, proactive and professional approach to nursing care
Additional qualifications or experience in a similar fast-paced, high-standard environment would be advantageous, but not essential.
