Are You Ready to Step Into a Standout Twilight ECC Role?
I’m delighted to share an exceptional opportunity for a Twilight Emergency and Critical Care Veterinary Surgeon to join a highly respected 24-hour hospital team on a 12-month fixed term. If you thrive in ECC, enjoy clinical independence, and want a rota that gives you an outstanding work–life balance, this could be the perfect move.
This state-of-the-art hospital supports both first-opinion and referral cases, meaning you’ll experience a wide, stimulating caseload—routine emergencies, complex critical care, surgical admissions, and advanced diagnostics. You’ll also have access to in-house specialists across orthopaedics, soft tissue, cardiology, physio and more, ensuring seamless continuity of care for all patients admitted overnight.
As the incoming night vet, you’ll already be comfortable with sole-charge ECC, confident in managing emergency surgeries, and capable of overseeing a busy ward during twilight hours. You’ll be supported by an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse working alongside you through each waking night, with a strong clinical leadership team available for daytime follow-up when needed.
The twilight shift pattern is one of the most appealing aspects of this role: 4 nights on, 17 nights off, giving you ample recovery time, freedom for travel, or the opportunity to take on additional shifts should you wish. Optional nearby accommodation is also available.
Now for the details you really want to know—here is exactly what you’ll receive:
Benefits Package:
-
Competitive salary £30,275–£41,087.50 (equivalent to £70,000–£95,000 FTE depending on experience)
