Position Overview:
Collaboration: Work closely with the Hospital Manager and report to the Regional Manager.
Patient Care: Perform comprehensive work-ups, including physical exams and diagnostic screenings. Communicate findings and treatment plans effectively to clients.
Surgery & Diagnostics: Conduct pre-op exams, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures. Ensure accurate documentation and communication with clients regarding results and discharge instructions.
Record Keeping: Maintain thorough and accurate medical records in compliance with AAHA guidelines.
Pharmacy Duties: Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring the security of controlled substances.
Team Efficiency: Foster a positive work environment, assist with staff duties, and ensure timely appointments.
Financial Management: Accurately estimate and communicate client invoices, and manage clinic resources effectively.
Continuing Education: Engage in ongoing learning and share knowledge with colleagues. Assist in training and mentoring staff.
Additional Responsibilities:
Strategic Focus: Provide feedback to medical staff, participate in marketing efforts, and work with the Hospital Manager on priorities and scheduling.
Tactical Focus: Resolve client issues, monitor hospital protocols, and manage controllable costs.
Qualifications:
DVM degree with an active state license.
Strong clinical skills, communication abilities, and a commitment to exceptional care.
Experience with staff management and hospital operations is a plus.
