We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to work on a ​full time or part-time basis within a Single Site Small Animal Practice based in Cheshire! Do you want to join a large team with a Varied Caseload - Get in Touch Today!

The Full time hours are 4.5 days per week ( 40 hrs) but part time applications are welcomed, and are also open to the option of part days/school hours. Flexible to Suit You!

The normal working week consists of days of 9:00am -7:00pm with a half day each week. The mornings are a mix of operating or consulting from 9:00am - 12:00pm with 1-hour admin at the end of the morning. Afternoon consultations start at 2:00pm and run through until 6:30pm with half an hour admin built-in.

  •  Bank holidays are limited and shared out fairly. They are open Saturday mornings, and Vets work 1:3, consulting 9:00am – 12:00pm with breakfast included and time in lieu given back the following Friday afternoon, making a nice long weekend every third week. 

  • No OOHs!

The salary for this role is up to £52,000 pro rata dependant on experience. Also offering a relocation allowance of up to £5000!

The Practice:

The clinic is a single site purpose-built small animal practice with an established client base and a supportive and friendly team. They have off road parking and two operating theatres, in-house laboratory, tonometry and a multi parameter.

Separate dog and cat wards, an imaging room including digital x-ray and ultrasound.

RCVS accredited training practice and an RCVS General Practice accredited.

Cat friendly clinic and working towards being a rabbit-friendly practice also.

  • The close-knit team is made up of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses, and a team of 6 Receptionists.

  • Encouraging staff discussion and input through monthly meetings and regular appraisals. Amongst the Vet team, they have 2 certificate holders. Also they have regular nights out and chippy Fridays along with a half-day shopping at Christmas....

Suitable Applicant:

The role would suit a vet who enjoys all aspects of first opinion practice.

The successful candidate would need excellent communication skills and enjoy dealing with clients. In return thy would offer a supportive clinic with opportunities to further and develop your career.
