Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Limerick
We’re pleased to be working with a progressive, independent-minded practice in Limerick that is looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role offers the perfect balance of support, development and autonomy, ideal for a vet looking to grow their skills while maintaining a good work-life balance.
The role:
- 4-day working week, averaging 38 hours
- 1 in 3 Saturdays (short shift, 4 hours only)
- No OOH – full support from local night service for referrals and hospitalisation
- Mix of supported and independent work:
- 1 day working alongside an experienced vet for upskilling in ultrasound, x-ray, dental and procedures
- 1 day with surgical support on hand
- 2 days sole charge at a quieter branch practice
What’s on offer:
- Structured learning opportunities with experienced colleagues
- True work-life balance with no nights or on-call
- Opportunity to develop diagnostic and surgical skills in a supportive setting
- Independent practice ethos with modern facilities
About you:
This role would suit a confident vet who enjoys variety – comfortable with sole charge but also motivated to continue learning in a collaborative environment. A good communicator with a patient, team-focused approach will fit in well here.
If you’re looking for a role that blends independence with support, and a work schedule that allows a genuine balance, this could be an excellent next step.
