We are delighted to be working with a thriving small animal practice in Caerphilly, Wales, who are looking for an additional Vet to join their expanding team

Location:

They are set in a beautiful location, opposite Caerphilly Castle, with a busy shopping area surrounding them. They are close to Cardiff, with South Wales amazing hills and Coasts on their doorstep. Ideal if you want to get out and explore.

About:

They pride themselves in their clinical standards and patient’s care. They are also a Gold Standard Cat Friendly practice. They are currently a four-Vet team with a range of experience and expertise, who are supported by an experienced and enthusiastic nursing team. Their emphasis is on client care and case continuity to build a valued rapport with their patients and the patients’ owners.

As they are a small team, there is a lot of opportunity to learn with a range of experienced support, and you will have less competition for the interesting cases. They are expanding rapidly and hope that the right candidate will be able to grow on them.

They are ideally looking for an experienced Vet, however they are happy to support a new or recent graduate if you are the right candidate for their team.

3 out of 4 Vets are VetGDP advisors, so they are well-placed to provide support, if needed. They have a dedicated cat area with ISFM gold accreditation, and all the usual kit and plenty of opportunities for surgical time with a high first opinion caseload.

Working hours:

No on-call, 1:3 Saturday mornings, and a day off every week. Full-time is a 37 hour / 4-day week, but they are very flexible and are happy to offer part-time working for the right candidate.

Generous salary dependent on experience.

Offered:

·         5 weeks holiday, plus Bank Holiday

·         5 days, CPD, plus £1750 COD allowance (more if a certificate holder)

·         RCVS, VDS, and one other professional subscription paid

·         Health cover scheme

·         Employee discount scheme

·         Enhanced sick, maternity, and paternity pay

·         The ability to by and sell holiday are amongst the other benefits offered
