About this role

As a veterinary professional, you already have a pretty good idea as to the day-to-day requirements of being a talented veterinarian. Here are some of the key skills that we are seeking that are particularly relevant to this opportunity:

  • Competency in routine surgery (desexings, lump removals, dentals)

  • Confidence in physical exams, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests and formulating a treatment plan

  • Some experience in more advanced soft tissue surgery (not essential, can be taught), any orthopaedic skills would be a bonus

An experienced vet will have the opportunity to share their experience and skills across our team while receiving additional benefits. Less experienced will enjoy exceptional support and guidance from our highly experienced team, including a dedicated career plan in line with your aspirations (if wanted/needed).

Located on the foreshore of Lake Illawarra, and nearby Wollongong, is the gateway to the beautiful South Coast of NSW where a myriad of beaches and coastal villages await.

Our offer

In order to attract talented veterinary professionals like you, we have a flexible approach to remuneration based on your expertise and potential – typically this will include:

  • A salary range of $120 -140k base commensurate with experience, expertise and skills

  • 4 weeks annual leave plus 1 week paid Continuing Education leave

  • Opportunity for bonuses and other benefits available for the right candidate

We are flexible with employment types and can tailor a permanent full-time or part-time position to suit your needs. If full time employment is sought, it would be an average of 38 hours per week (no after hours).

In addition to the above, we are also happy to consider other remuneration alternatives that may better suit your needs which we will be happy to explore as our discussions develop.
