We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a team based in Watford. The vets share the duties of consulting, operating, and imaging, although they could accommodate someone in a purely consulting role. 

Rota:
Their Full-Time vets work 4 weekdays per week. Start and finish times vary from 8.30am to 7.30pm. They do currently provide some OOH cover for their clients on a Saturday until 4pm and Sunday and Bank Holiday mornings on a rota basis. Their vets also consult on a Saturday morning and afternoon, currently 2:5 Saturdays for our Full-Time colleagues. They are happy to consider Part-Time candidates and open to discussing hours.

The practice:

They are a busy, Small Animal Practice based in Watford, Hertfordshire, within easy reach of transport links to London as well as beautiful surrounding countryside. The practice is fully equipped, including Endoscopy and Laparoscopy, ultrasound, digital x-ray, and multi-modal monitors. They are currently in the process of expanding their Exotic care.

They have a large and diverse team, with a variety of special interests and certificates, including imaging, surgical, medical, ophthalmology and exotics. They are keen to support their colleagues in their areas of interest and further study. 

Their team is made up of 7 FTE vets and 7 RVN's, along with a great team of student nurses, VCA's and skilled support staff. Many of their current RVN's trained here as students. They also have a small satellite consulting only surgery in Leavesden, which their vets cover on a rota basis, which has its own team of nursing and support staff.

​The salary for this role is up to £63,000 depending on experience. They also offer a welcome bonus up to £5,000 and relocation allowance up to £5,000
