Talal at Lloyd & Cowan Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-regarded small animal veterinary clinic in Mosgiel as they seek an experienced Small Animal Veterinarian for a 6-month fixed-term contract, covering parental leave.

The Role
This full-time, fixed-term position offers the chance to step into a well-established clinic and make a meaningful impact from day one. The role would suit a veterinarian who is comfortable working independently when required, while also enjoying being part of a close-knit team.
Key responsibilities include:

Providing high-quality veterinary care to small animal patients

Building trusted relationships with clients and supporting them throughout their pets’ healthcare journeys

Working collaboratively with a skilled and compassionate veterinary team

Maintaining excellent clinical standards across consulting, diagnostics, and treatment

Staying up to date with current best practice through ongoing professional learning

About You
This role would suit a veterinarian who is confident, approachable, and passionate about small animal practice.
You will ideally bring:

A minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a small animal veterinarian

Confidence working in sole charge when required

Strong clinical and decision-making skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
