​Senior/Head Veterinary Surgeon- RCVS Accredited Practice

An established Veterinary Practice in Dartford is seeking an experienced Senior/Head Veterinary Surgeon to join the team.Offering a salary of up to £75,000 DOE, up to £5,000 relocation allowance, and on-site accommodation in a fully furnished flat, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to take on a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical and surgical care for animals, including diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries

  • Perform routine check-ups and vaccinations

  • Utilize ultrasound, multiparameter, ECG, in-house lab (including microscope), digital x-ray, dentistry, and doppler equipment for diagnostics and treatment

  • Communicate with pet owners to provide education and advice on animal care

  • Work collaboratively with other members of the veterinary team to provide the best care for patients

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training

Work Schedule:

  • Flexible working hours, with no out-of-hours requirements

  • Standard workweek of 40 hours over 4 days, with a protected day off and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings

Practice and Team Details:

  • RCVS accredited practice

  • Practice facilities include a light and open waiting room, dedicated consult rooms, an open-plan preparation area, a well-equipped separate theatre, and a designated space for diagnostic imagery and dentistry

  • Supportive team of experienced Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs and 7 support team.

  • Visiting specialists in Orthopaedics, Cardiology, and Imaging

  • Delivery of schedule 3 procedures
