Ready to Thrive in a Supportive GP Role With True Community Impact?
I’m excited to share an outstanding opportunity for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a long-established, community-focused clinic where relationship-based care and clinical autonomy truly matter. If you're looking for a position where you can make a meaningful difference while enjoying a balanced, fulfilling workload, this may be the perfect fit.
About the Role
This position suits a confident GP vet who enjoys sole charge, values continuity of care, and takes pride in building trusted, long-term client relationships. You’ll handle a varied caseload including consultations, routine surgeries, dental work, and triage—while working closely with an experienced onsite colleague.
Your week will follow a 4-day schedule (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays), supported by:
-
An experienced onsite veterinary colleague
-
A dedicated regional manager
-
A knowledgeable regional head vet
-
A nearby branch for additional clinical support
-
A 24-hour hospital for complex cases and OOH transitions
Your rota also includes a 1:4 branch Saturday, 1:8 hospital Sunday, and up to two bank holidays per year. There is only a very occasional last-resort on-call requirement.
If you’re looking for a practice where you can settle in, shape the future of the clinic, and become a familiar, trusted face within the community, this is a rare and exciting opportunity.
Salary
The salary offered is £60,000–£75,000 FTE, depending on experience, with room for progression.

This role comes with a carefully designed rewards package that supports your clinical development, wellbeing, and long-term career goals. You can expect:
-
A highly competitive salary (£60,000–£75,000 FTE), with clear scope for progression
