Registered Veterinary Nurse – Join a Well-Equipped 24-Hour Hospital

I’m working with a well-established, fully equipped 24-hour veterinary hospital to find an experienced and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their talented and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your clinical skills in a hospital setting that’s equipped with advanced technology and staffed by a dedicated group of professionals who deliver outstanding patient and client care.

You’ll be part of a highly skilled team of vets, nurses, and support staff who work collaboratively to provide the very best standards of care. The hospital is home to state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, digital X-ray, ECG, and a full endoscopy suite, offering exposure to a wide variety of complex and rewarding cases.

The role:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week over 4 days

  • Rotating full weekend (1 in 6 up to 1 in 10)

  • A dynamic position offering variety across surgery, inpatient, and consulting work

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional nursing care to all patients

  • Assist with a wide range of surgical and medical procedures

  • Lead nurse consults and undertake schedule 3 procedures

  • Monitor and manage inpatients, including admissions and discharges

  • Dispense and check medications accurately and safely

  • Ensure full compliance with clinical and regulatory standards

  • Contribute to the effective running of the hospital and support colleagues as needed

About you:

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse with strong small animal experience

  • Confident, organised, and adaptable within a busy hospital environment

  • Excellent communicator and supportive team player

  • Committed to delivering the highest standards of patient and client care

  • Passionate about professional development and continuous learning
