We at Lloyd & Cowan are thrilled to be working with a practice who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their fantastic Hospital. The day-to-day duties of their RVNs their Hospital include working a variety of different shifts, such as wards, theatre, reception/nurse clinics and laboratory. They are a training practice so would welcome an RVN that has an interest in student training and support, this would be a bonus, although this is not essential.
Rota:
The role would include working a 38-hour week with varying shifts spread over 4-6 days. They are open to flexible working and would consider part-time applicants. Their RVN's shift patterns vary, currently there are a mixture of start and finish times from 8 am-7 pm. The role also involves taking part in their out-of-hours rota providing overnight inpatient care.
About them:
They are based in the Royal town of Windsor, which has excellent transport links to London and Heathrow. Windsor has a vibrant town centre which is a 10-minute walk from the practice, as well as being surrounded by beautiful countryside perfect for outdoor activities. They are a well-equipped Hospital, regularly carrying out laparoscopic, orthopaedic, and soft tissue surgeries. They have an x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, rhinoscopy, an in-house laboratory, piped gas, 1 x operating theatre, 1 x dental suite and a large well- equipped prep area. They have separate cat and dog wards waiting areas and an additional isolation unit.
They currently have 8 vets covering a 6.5 vet rota, inclusive of 3 certificate holders. Their current nurse team includes 7 RVN's and 3 SVN's.
Salary:
Up to £31,000 DOE
