Ready to Take Your Nursing Career to the Next Level in a Thriving 24-Hour Hospital?

I’m delighted to share an exceptional opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to step into a dynamic, hospital-based role within one of the busiest and most advanced veterinary centres in the region. If you thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment, love complex and varied cases, and want to develop your skills across multiple departments, this role offers everything you could hope for.

This position is ideal for an RVN with solid experience who enjoys the buzz of a large multidisciplinary hospital. You’ll have the chance to work across theatre, wards, consults, and ECC, giving you exposure to a diverse caseload and the professional stimulation that comes with being part of a high-performing clinical team. And if you’re stronger in one area than another, rest assured—you’ll be fully supported with tailored training to build your confidence wherever you want to grow.

You’ll be joining a substantial and talented team of veterinary surgeons, RVNs, students, and clinical assistants, supported by skilled client care staff who ensure seamless, compassionate service. With advanced diagnostics—including CT imaging, a commercial laboratory, and surgeons performing complex soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures—this is the perfect environment for an RVN who wants to be part of truly cutting-edge veterinary care.

The full-time rota is 40 hours per week, including a fair weekend rotation with time off in lieu, and occasional bank holiday cover. On-call is limited to a last-resort rotation, with strong overnight staffing in place, ensuring you’re fully supported at all times.

What You’ll Receive

This hospital understands the importance of investing in its veterinary nurses and offers a strong package designed to support your wellbeing, development, and long-term growth:

  • A competitive salary of £32,000–£35,000, with scope for progression

  • Generous leave allowance, including holiday entitlements that genuinely support work-life balance

  • Protected breaks built into your daily schedule

  • A structured CPD package, including funding and paid days to pursue your professional interests

  • Optional access to a private healthcare plan with additional wellbeing benefits

  • Ongoing support for those aiming to step into senior roles, including leadership development pathways

  • A collaborative culture where your skills are valued, your voice is heard, and your growth is taken seriously

If you're looking for a hospital role that offers complexity, variety, a strong clinical team, and meaningful support for your professional development, this could be the perfect next step.
