​Practice Manager/Qualified Senior Veterinary Nurse – Full Time (38hrs/week)

We have an exciting opportunity with an exceptional, Independent Veterinary hospital who are a family-owned, small animal practice with a purpose-built animal hospital and a friendly, hardworking, supportive work culture in a fun environment. The team comprises of four Veterinarians and five Veterinary nurses, with a strong focus on teaching veterinary students and nurses alike.

We are looking for someone with a positive, 'can do' attitude, to lead and drive our team to provide a continuous high standard of customer service.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing day to day operations of the clinic and client journey

  • Coaching and supporting our team of Nurses Vets and Work Placement Students

  • Overseeing stock management and ordering, practice management system and other administration duties such as client accounts

  • Working with management to assess Budgeting, Key Performance Indicators and other financial reports

  • Managing relationships with External specialists

  • Recruitment, Rostering, Staff Training, Meetings and Staff Development.

  • Maintaining a positive workplace culture

  • Community involvement, support and engagement

  • Nursing duties also required (surgical nursing, reception etc).

What you’ll bring to our team:

  • 2 + years of experience working in a Practice Manager/Team Leadership role

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) preferred but not essential

  • Strong Team leadership and team building skills

  • The desire to coach and support our team to maintain a positive workplace culture

  • Great communication, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Bubbly, proactive, 'can do' attitude, with the flexibility to help out the team where needed

About Us/What's on Offer:

  • They are open Monday to Friday 8:00am – 7:00pm, Saturdays 8:00am – 3:00pm, and closed on Sundays

  • They are closed on Public Holidays, with no After Hours work.

  • They are always looking to improve as a clinic and implement new ideas! We meet regularly for daily communication rounds, staff meetings, and weekly learning through the Lincoln Institute!

  • Also they have on board IM3 Dental equipment, including Dental Xray, Digital Radiography, In house Pathology, Ultrasound, Endoscopy and Anaesthesia Monitoring equipment. They also work closely with a team of Veterinary specialists and surgeons to ensure we provide the highest standard of care to our clients and their pets and perform all orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries in-house.

  • As important as it is to learn, it’s just as important to have fun at work, especially as they work closely as a small team. They have regular team events and outings as we believe in having a work/life balance.

  • Above award rates with remuneration based upon experience. Performance based incentives also on offer.

  • You will be working Monday – Friday, with a rotating Saturday shift, shared amongst the nursing team.
