Mixed Veterinary Surgeon (Independent Practice)
Lloyd & Cowan is delighted to be working with a progressive, independent seven-vet practice based in Mid Ulster, with a branch in Co. Antrim. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an additional Mixed Vet to strengthen the team, with a focus on farm animal work.
The Role
Hands-on mixed caseload with around 50% large animal (mainly cattle and sheep, with some goats and pigs) and 45% small animal, plus a small amount of equine if desired
Routine fertility, herd and flock health, lambing and calving, plus seasonal peaks
First-opinion small animal consultations and surgery
Participation in a fair and supportive out-of-hours rota
About You
Confident mixed or farm-first vet with solid clinical judgement
Enjoys farm work and communicating well with clients
Team player who is proactive, solutions-led, and happy to mentor when needed
Full UK driving licence essential
