An independent, rural mixed practice in Mid Ulster is seeking an experienced Mixed Vet to strengthen the farm animal team from spring. This is a hands-on role with a genuinely supportive, community-focused ethos and clear long-term prospects, including the opportunity to become a shareholder for the right person.
The role
Day-to-day farm work across cattle and sheep, with goats and pigs in the mix and some equine if desired.
First-opinion small animal can be accommodated but the priority is a confident farm clinician who enjoys routine fertility work, herd and flock health, lambing/calving, and seasonal peaks. Participation in a shared out-of-hours rota, with fair workload and support.
What you’ll bring
Solid mixed or farm-first experience with confidence on farm calls and client communication
Good clinical judgement and a practical, solutions-led approach
Team player who enjoys mentoring and mucking in when it’s busy
What’s on offer
Competitive salary commensurate with experience
Shareholder pathway for the right candidate
Supportive, close-knit team with real autonomy and direct access to decision-makers
CPD encouraged and supported, with scope to develop areas of interest
Location
Mid Ulster, within easy reach of key towns and the surrounding farming community.
Full UK driving licence required.
