Are you a passionate veterinary surgeon looking for a busy, varied role in a stunning location? Our client is a mixed practice, based on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland, and they're looking for a colleague to join them in delivering excellent care across small, large and equine species.
About the role

Caseload split: ~ 65% small animal, ~ 25% large/farm, ~ 10% equine

Very busy practice – you’ll see a wide range of work

Rota setup includes daily clinics, surgeries and farm visits

Expect a demanding lambing season (March–May)

One on-call night during the week; one in five weekends on call

If you work a weekend on call, you get the following Tuesday off

Every alternate week is a 4-day working week

What we’re looking for

Fully qualified and RCVS-registered (or equivalent) veterinary surgeon

Experience in mixed practice (or strong willingness to engage across species)

Able to manage your own cases, but support is available from the team

Resilience, good organisational skills, a “can-do” attitude

Interest or confidence in farm medicine/surgery and small animal work
-
Comfortable with working in a remote/island context
