​The Role:

We at Lloyd & Cowan are thrilled to be working with a practice who are looking for a mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their Vet Team. They have 20-minute appointments between 9am and 5pm on weekdays. There would be 1 or 2 days of surgery a week with the rest of the time split between consults and farm animal work. Venture even further as they extend their services through satellite clinics in Lochinver, Kinlochbervie, Durness, and Helmsdale, championing pet well-being across the Highlands.

Working up to 40 hours per week across 5 days Monday to Friday, with a 1 in 5 weekend on-call rota with a day off in lieu and 1 night per week OOH. OOH call out bonus scheme in place. They can consider full time; part time or job share candidates for this role.


Up to £63,000 negotiable D.O.E.
Relocation allowance of up to £5,000

Their team:
They have a small team of 5 vets and 4 nurses with a good support team and this position would suit someone who is possibly looking for a change of lifestyle. Life in the Highlands offers lots of recreational time to walk, bag a Munro, go wild swimming & paddle boarding as well as some amazing beaches and historic places to explore.

Applicant Requirements:

They are looking for someone who will be happy with a varied caseload and enjoys working with the variety of clients they have. Ideally, they are looking for someone with enough experience to be comfortable carrying out routine operations, good knowledge of farm animals and to join the on-call rota. There will be help available for more difficult cases. Must be RCVS registered.
