Up to £80,000k DOE
Are you an experienced veterinary surgeon with a keen interest in surgery, specifically orthopaedics? Would you like to take the next step in your career and be a part of building a surgical & orthopaedic referral caseload?
You’ll be based at a fully equipped site, already having an established and varied orthopaedic & surgical caseload to build on.
The Location:
Based only 20 minutes from Birmingham city, this practice is ideally located to have the best of both worlds with city and quiet living.
Birmingham airport is only 30 minutes away, and if you are perhaps relocation the team are happy to look at a relocation package.
The Team:
You’ll be joining and leading a close knit team, majority of whom have 20 years of service! They are all just as passionate as each other for their work and practice to a high standard. They are a 9 vet team, with multiple holding or working towards further certificates in the likes of Ophthalmology, ECC, Surgery and Acupuncture.
Dedicated administrative time for leadership duties
Experienced nurse team within surgery and orthopaedic procedures
The Caseload:
As mentioned the clinic sees a varied caseload of routine and advanced primary care services including orthopaedic surgery, laparoscopic spay and laparoscopic biopsy, soft tissue surgery, eye, heart, and skin treatments, arthritis management and cancer treatment. And right now also offer referral services in ophthalmology.
Hours: The team can look at flexible working patterns to suit, either full or part time, with no OOHs as these are covered by a neighbouring hospital.
The Facilities:
You’ll enjoy working in a light and spacious clinic, with a great range of equipment available including Digital X-ray, ultrasound at both sites, large and small endoscope, electrocautery, cryotherapy, ophthalmic loops, dental equipment, orthopaedic air-powered tools, slit lamp, tono pens and much more…
What we are looking for:
Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for someone who has either completed a surgical certificate or working towards this.
The clinic can offer support and mentoring in all areas, ensure dedicated administrative time for leadership duties, and minimal routine consults.
The ideal candidate would be keen to support the team in all areas and be that clinical lead whilst managing an already established surgical and orthopaedic caseload.
Leadership skills would be highly desirable, however you will be very well supported by a highly experienced Practice Manager who is MBA qualified and can support and guide on business decisions.
