Here at Lloyd & Cowan we are thrilled to be working with a practice who are looking for an engaged and motivated Lead Veterinary Surgeon to provide excellent, kind and personal clinical care.

About them:

They encourage you to develop your skills and follow your interests, so if you want to take on a certificate, this will be supported. They really want their practice to be a place where you can enjoy being a vet and work up your cases as much as possible, so they are always open to innovative ideas on how to achieve this, whether that involves further training or investing in new kit. They also benefit from a peripatetic surgeon (CertSAS),visiting a neighbouring practice which allows them to keep their orthopaedic cases in-house.

Rota:

They schedule their days to include a mix of consults and surgery so you will have the opportunity to practice and hone your skills. They have time built into the day to catch up on admin, make phone calls and have a break. Their weekend rota is just 1:4 consulting shifts only (total of 5 hours) They are open to offering a 4 or 5 day week, whichever suits you better.

Role:

The role would involve managing an experienced team and a great step if you are looking for more responsibility in your career. You would be closely supported by your regional operations and Clinical director in all matters to help your growth in the role.
