A well-established small animal practice in County Kerry is seeking a Clinical Lead Vet to join their close-knit team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced vet looking to step into leadership, or for someone already in a lead role who wants to combine career progression with an excellent work-life balance.

The role:

  • Permanent, full or part-time considered

  • 4–5 days per week, with flexible arrangements possible

  • 2 in 4 Saturdays, no Sundays, Bank Holidays, or out-of-hours

  • Clinical caseload alongside leadership responsibilities — shaping standards, mentoring colleagues, and driving quality of care

  • Earliest start 8:30am, latest finish 6:00pm

The practice:
Established over 40 years ago, this practice has a strong community presence and a supportive team culture. Facilities include laparoscopy, orthopaedic surgery, digital x-ray, in-house lab, and a dental suite. You’ll be joining a small, collaborative team with long-standing client relationships.

What’s on offer:

  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience

  • Relocation allowance

  • 22 days annual leave

  • €1,300 CPD allowance + 5 CPD days, with full support for certificates and further qualifications

  • Paid maternity, paternity, and adoptive leave packages

  • VCI fees covered

  • Pension contributions

  • Sick pay

  • And more!

Who they’re looking for:

  • VCI-registered (or eligible) from September 2025

  • Confident in all areas of small animal first opinion work, both medical and surgical

  • A strong communicator who enjoys teamwork and community practice

  • Natural leadership qualities, with a passion for clinical excellence and supporting colleagues

This role offers the rare chance to lead within a supportive, community-driven practice, while still enjoying genuine work-life balance in a scenic part of Ireland.
