Lloyd & Cowan are working with the largest Small Animal clinic in Hong Kong with over 35,000 sq ft which includes 22 consultation rooms, 7 surgical theatre suites with a dedicated induction and recovery area, full on-site STAT diagnostic laboratory, pharmacy and dedicated client areas for emergency and regular appointments. Our medical imaging and diagnostic capabilities include a 1.5 Tesla MRI, 64 slice CT, digital radiography, ultrasound, colour doppler echocardiography, intra-operative fluoroscopy and endoscopy.
The Position
They are currently looking for 2 skilled Veterinarians to join their dedicated hospital service team. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively on cases with specialists in Oncology, Dermatology, Surgery, Cardiology, Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Anesthesiology, Diagnostic Imaging as well as a team of dedicated Primary Care and Emergency clinicians, nurses and friendly support staff. This individual will:
Attend rounds and take a detailed summary of the patient’s presenting issues, examination findings, diagnostic, therapeutic and monitoring plan
Be responsible for providing a clinical assessment to all patients in the wards (dog, cat, isolation) or any interventions should they arise
The assessment of hospitalized patients is built on the problem-based clinical assessment.
Provide exceptional patient care
Work collaboratively with the existing Primary Care, Emergency and Specialty services
Provide clients and referring veterinarians with a detailed and timely feedback.
Provide clinical training and mentorship to clinical support staff
Participate in Veterinary educational training activities conducted at the clinic
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVSc) or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
Minimum 3 years of solid clinical experience in small animal practice
A commitment to providing the highest level of patient care
Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of cases in hospital
Self-motivated with a commitment to ongoing professional development
Good work ethic and commitment to the culture and values of the clinic
