Our client who we are thrilled to be working with are seeking a Head Veterinary Nurse to join their supportive team.

About them:

​This is a well-established first opinion practice with a friendly and experienced team. Located near the beautiful New Forest and serene coastlines, their practice is equipped with modern tools including digital x-ray, an advanced ultrasound machine, tonopen, and a full in-house laboratory. Their dedicated team comprises 6 vets, 5 nurses, 2 SVNs, 5 receptionists, and 2 Practice Managers.

Role Overview:

This role involves overseeing clinical operations, leading a diverse team, and ensuring the highest standards of patient and client care. You will be integral in managing day-to-day activities, performing theatre work, and conducting nurse consultations.

  • Work Schedule: Full-time (5 days a week) or part-time options available. The role includes 1 in 4 Saturday mornings.

  • No OOH or On-Call: Enjoy a balanced work schedule with no out-of-hours or on-call responsibilities.

  • Varied Responsibilities: Lead by example, manage nursing duties, support business operations, and mentor team members.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: Previous senior role preferred, but substantial RVN experience considered.

  • Skills: Strong leadership, delegation, and communication skills. Ability to stay calm under pressure and a passion for mentoring and team development.

  • Attitude: Friendly, caring nature with a commitment to high standards of care and a genuine love for the profession.

Salary:

Up to £35,000 DOE
