Director of Small Animal Veterinary Medicine - up to €120,000
A leading veterinary group in Ireland is seeking a Director of Small Animal Veterinary Medicine. This senior, fully non-clinical role is ideal for an experienced veterinarian with strong multi-site leadership experience who enjoys supporting teams, improving standards and driving clinical excellence across a network of clinics.
This is a Monday to Friday position with flexibility to work from home or from clinics. Attendance at head office is only required once weekly, typically Monday. Minimal weekend involvement.
The Role
- Senior strategic leadership role across multiple small animal sites
- No clinical duties or rota commitments
- Working closely with senior management to support growth and performance
- Focus on governance, professional support and operational oversight
- Involvement in long-term planning, service development and quality improvement
- Representing the organisation in stakeholder and partner discussions
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee clinical governance, standards and professional development
- Support veterinary teams and lead engagement initiatives
- Monitor KPIs and clinical performance across the group
- Drive service development, consistency and innovation
- Collaborate with senior leadership on operational and business strategy
- Ensure clinical quality and consistency across all sites
Requirements
- Veterinary degree with eligibility to practise in Ireland
- Strong small animal background
- Proven multi-site management or leadership experience
- Confident leading teams and supporting professional development
- Commercial awareness and strong organisational ability
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
