An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced veterinarian to step into the role of Medical Director at a well-established small animal hospital in Webster, New York. As a leader in this hospital, you will have the chance to influence its direction, foster a collaborative and positive culture, and maintain high standards of patient and client care. Partnering with the practice manager and leadership team, you will help guide the hospital toward excellence, ensuring its continued success while supporting staff development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the practice manager and leadership team to develop strategies and implement improvements that enhance patient and client care.
  • Lead, mentor, and support veterinarians at your hospital to achieve medical excellence and improve patient outcomes.
  • Cultivate a culture of teamwork, learning, and growth, while fostering strong communication among all hospital staff.
  • Support staff development through continuous education and training, ensuring the hospital remains at the forefront of veterinary medicine.
  • Maintain and develop client relationships by providing exceptional care and personalized service.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required.
  • State Veterinary Board License in good standing for New York, prior to start date.
  • Active DEA license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Proven track record in veterinary medicine, with a passion for mentoring and providing high-quality care.

Compensation
Negotiable based on experience, with an annual PROSAL full-time range starting at $140,000/year.
