Experienced Veterinary Nurse – A Fantastic Opportunity to Grow Within a High-Quality Clinical Team

I’m delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse who is ready to take the next step in their career within a modern, supportive, and forward-thinking small-animal practice. If you have 2+ years of experience, a passion for excellent nursing care, and a desire to work in a clinic that truly values its team, this role may be ideal for you.

You’ll be working in a well-equipped facility with dedicated spaces for consultations, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, and species-specific inpatient care. The team places a strong emphasis on low-stress handling and creating a positive experience for every patient and client who walks through the door. As part of a well-structured clinical team, you’ll be supported by experienced veterinary professionals who are committed to continuous learning and maintaining the highest standards of care.

This role offers the chance to use your full range of nursing skills—from monitoring anaesthesia to inpatient care, clinical record management, and client communication. You’ll also play an active part in the smooth running of the clinic and have opportunities to contribute to training and mentorship within the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting veterinary surgeons during surgical and medical procedures

  • Delivering high-quality inpatient nursing care and administering treatments

  • Monitoring anaesthesia and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures

  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised clinical environment

  • Assisting with reception duties and ensuring a professional client experience

  • Managing stock, medications, and clinical supplies

  • Keeping accurate clinical records and supporting best practice across the clinic

  • Promoting preventative healthcare and client education

  • Contributing to staff training and development where required

You will bring:

  • RVN qualification with current professional registration

  • At least two years’ experience in small-animal nursing

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Confidence in decision-making and autonomous nursing tasks

  • A caring, professional, and team-focused approach

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high clinical standards

What’s on offer:

  • Competitive salary in the region of €32,000–€35,000, DOE

  • A supportive leadership team and collaborative working culture

  • Opportunities for ongoing professional development and CPD

  • A modern, well-equipped environment where your skills are valued

If you’re an enthusiastic and dedicated RVN looking to advance your career in a practice where your contribution truly matters, I’d love to speak with you.
