A great opportunity has arisen for an Emergency clinician to join an amazing team working within a stunning, purpose-built, Veterinary Hospital.
This role will provide a unique opportunity to:
Provide emergency care for a wide range of cases from their local primary care practices
Work alongside Specialists in multiple disciplines to support the provision of emergency referrals
Deliver exceptional inpatient care to emergency cases requiring prolonged hospitalisation and to critical cases, with support from their ECC Specialists.
There will be ample support and great case exposure for those interested in enrolling on a certificate or plenty of scope to develop your skills further if you already have a postgraduate qualification. The position could also suit individuals with ambitions to undertake Specialist residency training in the future
About the Practice:
The hospital is home to extensive medical, surgical and diagnostic facilities with a superbly equipped Intensive Care Unit. In-patient care is a priority, with 24-hour care provided by the team of Vets, Interns, Nurses, and other Clinical Support staff. The practice is iCatCare accredited at Gold Level.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside internationally renowned Specialists across the multi-disciplinary team, including Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Oncology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Dermatology, Imaging, Anaesthesia, and Emergency and Critical Care.
Rota
The 6 week rota allows a combination of working day, evening and night shifts, as well as 3 weeks off built in to allow an outstanding work life balance.
Week 1: Monday-Sunday – 7am-5pm shifts
Week 2: Off shift
Week 3: Monday-Friday – 12pm-10pm shifts
Week 4: Monday-Sunday – 4pm-2am shifts
Week 5: Off shift
Week 6: Off shift
As one of the emergency vet team members you would work in a fantastic hospital, working closely with specialists across all disciplines, as well as the intern, resident and primary care vet teams, giving excellent support. Learning and development is strongly supported.
What we are looking for:
Vets qualified for at least two years
Primary care experience very useful
Experience in emergency work also advantageous
The package includes a competitive salary, ranging from £60,000 upwards (D.O.E.)
