Our client, a leading specialist and emergency veterinary hospital group in Auckland, is seeking passionate Emergency Veterinarians to join their team. The Role:

As an Emergency Veterinarian, you’ll manage a diverse caseload of emergency presentations and support specialist inpatients. You’ll be part of a highly skilled team that works collaboratively across surgery, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, cardiology, neurology, oncology, dermatology, and critical care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing urgent medical, surgical, and critical care services, including stabilisation, assessment, treatment, and referral where required.

  • Performing a wide range of procedures and interventions, with mentorship and surgical support available for more complex cases.

  • Delivering high standards of patient care while maintaining excellent client communication.

  • Working alongside specialist teams, ensuring a seamless experience for patients, clients, and referring vets.

About You:

  • BVSc or equivalent degree recognised by the Veterinary Council of New Zealand

  • Minimum 2 years’ small animal practice experience OR a 1-year rotating internship

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

  • A positive, adaptable attitude and commitment to high clinical standards

  • Previous emergency experience advantageous but not essential
