As a specialty facility, it does not provide general practice services but returns patients to their primary care veterinarians for follow-up care after treatment.

THE HOSPITAL The hospital specializes in emergency and critical care, internal medicine, oncology, and surgery, serving pets in Miami, South Miami, and Pinecrest. Strict referral guidelines are followed, ensuring that all patients are returned to their primary veterinarians after the necessary treatments. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build strong, compassionate relationships with colleagues, clients, and support staff.

  • Foster a learning environment for colleagues, support staff, and veterinary students.

  • Triage and create treatment plans for emergency patients.

  • Continue care of hospitalized specialty patients during overnight and weekend shifts.

  • Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with clients, staff, and referral partners.

  • Collaborate with specialists during morning rounds to ensure comprehensive care for hospitalized patients.

  • Support a positive and collaborative work culture, maintaining the hospital’s Fear-Free commitment.
