Lloyd & Cowan are excited to be working exclusively with a great team in the States who are looking for a specialist Board Certified Equine Surgeon to join their exceptional team!

The team includes specialists in internal medicine, reproduction, sports medicine, and surgery. Their headquarters are nestled in the scenic countryside of New Jersey, offering easy access to major cities like New York and Philadelphia. This area provides a high quality of life, with miles of outdoor activities and award-winning school systems for families.

Role Description:

Due to increasing demand, they are seeking a second surgeon for their New Jersey hospital. The practice primarily serves sport horses and is renowned for excellence in lameness, advanced imaging, and rehabilitation. The ideal surgeon will have clinical interests aligned with these areas to complement their surgical caseload.

They have a strong network of referring veterinarians who have entrusted them with advanced imaging and rehabilitation for over a decade. They are expanding their hospital services to this network, experiencing consistent growth. Adding a surgeon to their team is crucial to support this expansion.

You will soon work in a state-of-the-art facility under construction, featuring 30+ stalls, two surgery suites, Hallmarq standing MRI, Qalibra CT, nuclear scintigraphy, a 4-stall isolation building, a covered arena for lameness evaluations, and an 8-stall rehabilitation facility.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships with referring veterinarians.

  • Collaborative approach to medicine.

  • Commitment to delivering world-class care to patients and clients.

  • Board-eligible surgeons are encouraged to apply.

  • New Jersey license required.

Compensation Package:

  • Minimum annual salary commensurate with experience
