We’re working with a well-established after-hours veterinary hospital in Tauranga that is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join their dynamic emergency care team.

  • Work full-time, part-time, or casual – you choose

The Role:
This is not your average nursing job. You’ll be working alongside experienced ECC vets in a busy after-hours setting, providing critical care to patients when their regular vet is closed. If you're keen to extend your knowledge and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be your perfect fit.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient triage, care, and critical monitoring

  • Client communication & support

  • Placing IV catheters, taking bloods, assisting with diagnostics

  • Anaesthetic monitoring for high-risk patients

  • Operating advanced equipment including digital radiography, CT, in-house lab systems, and more

  • Managing fluid therapy and blood transfusions

About You:

  • Qualified Veterinary Nurse with 2+ years’ experience

  • Confident working independently and in a team

  • Calm under pressure, organised, and adaptable

  • Excellent communicator with strong clinical skills

  • Emergency experience is a bonus, but full training will be provided

  • NZ residency or valid work visa required
