Registered Lead Veterinary Nurse - Leeds


You will work with a team of 200 people who work hard togive the best access to good veterinary care.

There are 9 surgeries some a few months old, others mucholder and vary from 3 - 17 vets and all are growing fast environment. This is a fast-pacedenvironment, with a varied caseload.The second CT scanner is also about to beinstalled, which is part of the practices commitment to helping the teamdeliver good accessible care and have a meaningful career.

The opportunity

Following the increased demand for our services and theintroduction of a dedicated 24/7 operation our Dewsbury surgery are now seekinga lead veterinary nurse to join their growing team.

The surgery is fast-paced and the case-load changes at arapid rate, meaning this is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who is lookingto take the next exciting step in their career.

From day 1 working you'll be exposed to an ever-changing caseloadthat will be a mixture of inpatients and emergencies that will help you tocontinually develop your skills and capabilities. You will work alongside the bestVets and Nurses and who all work together to better the lives of sick pets andyou can be sure you'll be welcomed into the community.

The Person

The new Nurse will be ready to take on the challenge ofleading an experienced team of dedicated nurses as well as assisting the vets. Thesurgery is well-equipped with the latest industry-standard technology meaningyour working environment will help to support you as you take the next excitingstep in your career. Advanced surgeries including orthopaedics, BOAS and totalhip replacement are regularly performed across the group and there is access totwo CT scanners as well as advanced X-Ray and ultrasound services so you can beproud of your working environment.


Full-time 40-hour week, over 4 days and 1 in 5 weekends(shared weekend rota)


Salary Scale is £24,989 - £29,227 with 6 weeks holiday,including bank holidays as well as UK and International CPD faded tocertificate level. Private healthcare will be added to this fantastic package, 52weeks sickness benefit; and free employee assistance program - awarded after 12months of service. Additionally, access to the contributory pension scheme, accessto counselling support including mental health, financial and life counsellingafter 12 months of service.
