Veterinary Surgeon (Surgical Bias) | Independent 24-Hour Hospital | Essex
Looking to step into a true hospital environment where you’re supported, challenged, and able to develop clinically? This is a standout opportunity.
An established, independently owned 24-hour veterinary hospital in Essex is looking to welcome an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a surgical bias into their growing team.
The Role
This is a varied position suited to a vet who enjoys surgery but is still happy to be hands-on across all areas of practice. You’ll be involved in:
A mix of consults, surgery, dentals and inpatient care
Managing a varied caseload within a busy hospital setting
Working alongside a large, experienced team with strong clinical support
This is not a niche-only role, it’s ideal for someone who wants to keep variety in their day while continuing to develop surgically.
The Practice
This is one of the longest-standing and most respected veterinary centres in the region, operating as a fully equipped 24-hour hospital. With over 100 team members, including certificate holders and advanced practitioners across multiple disciplines, it offers a level of support and exposure that’s hard to find in standard practice.
You’ll have access to expertise in areas such as orthopaedics, internal medicine, cardiology, ophthalmology, imaging and ECC, making it a great environment for case discussion and progression.
The hospital is RCVS-accredited and handles both first opinion and referral work, so you’ll see a wide and interesting caseload. It also holds Gold Cat Friendly Clinic status, reflecting a strong focus on patient care and clinical standards.
