Veterinary Surgeon | Small Animal with Equine | Isle of Man
Want to keep the bulk of your caseload small animal but not give up equine work altogether? This could be the mix you're after.
We're exclusively recruiting for a well-established, 5-branch veterinary group on the Isle of Man, looking for a Veterinary Surgeon, ideally around 3 years' experience, whose caseload will be predominantly small animal, with the opportunity to build up regular equine work alongside it.
The role:
Predominantly small animal: Consulting plus a weekly day of ops/surgery, working across branches ranging from a small consulting-only site through to a fully equipped main hospital with a high emergency caseload.
Equine work: Ambulatory and a growing part of the business, based mainly out of their Douglas branch, with genuine scope to take on more of this as the service expands.
Autonomy: A team that trusts you to work independently, with no hand-holding and no micromanagement.
The package:
Working week: 4-day condensed working week.
OOH rota: Fair OOH rota, 1 weeknight per week and 1-in-4 weekends, with the team working toward a 7-on/14-off ECC-style model with accommodation provided during your work week.
Relocation support: Non-shared accommodation provided for your first 6 months, a relocation allowance, and access to Isle of Man Government relocation support.
Lifestyle: Genuinely low personal tax rates and an easy pace of island life outside work.
Both current Head Vets relocated to the island themselves and are still there years on. If you want small animal medicine as your bread and butter with real equine variety on the side, we'd love to talk.
