Looking to step away from the usual clinic routine and try something a bit different? This could be a really interesting option.
A well-established business is looking for a Pig Veterinary Surgeon to join their in-house team, working closely across a number of farm sites. It’s a Monday to Friday role with a strong focus on work life balance and long-term development.
The Role
This is a hands-on production role where you’ll be working alongside farm managers and the wider team to support animal health and welfare across multiple sites. You’ll be involved in:
- Herd health planning and preventative work
- Post-mortems, diagnostics and disease management
- Advising on nutrition and production
- Reviewing performance data and making recommendations
- Ensuring welfare and industry standards are met
It’s a nice mix of practical work and having a real say in how things are run longer term.
What They’re Looking For
- MRCVS qualified, open to experienced vets or recent graduates
- Interest in farm or production work
- Someone who can work independently but enjoys being part of a team
- Full driving licence
Pig or production experience would be a bonus, but not essential as full training and support is provided.
What’s on Offer
- Competitive salary
- Company vehicle
- Paid memberships
- Generous CPD and ongoing support
- Monday to Friday hours
It’s a great opportunity if you’re looking for something a bit different, with proper support and a good balance day to day.
