Looking to step away from the usual clinic routine and try something a bit different? This could be a really interesting option.

A well-established business is looking for a Pig Veterinary Surgeon to join their in-house team, working closely across a number of farm sites. It’s a Monday to Friday role with a strong focus on work life balance and long-term development.

The Role
This is a hands-on production role where you’ll be working alongside farm managers and the wider team to support animal health and welfare across multiple sites. You’ll be involved in:

  • Herd health planning and preventative work
  • Post-mortems, diagnostics and disease management
  • Advising on nutrition and production
  • Reviewing performance data and making recommendations
  • Ensuring welfare and industry standards are met

It’s a nice mix of practical work and having a real say in how things are run longer term.

What They’re Looking For

  • MRCVS qualified, open to experienced vets or recent graduates
  • Interest in farm or production work
  • Someone who can work independently but enjoys being part of a team
  • Full driving licence

Pig or production experience would be a bonus, but not essential as full training and support is provided.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Company vehicle
  • Paid memberships
  • Generous CPD and ongoing support
  • Monday to Friday hours

It’s a great opportunity if you’re looking for something a bit different, with proper support and a good balance day to day.
