Here at Lloyd & Cowan we are working with a growing veterinary practice in Dundee, who are seeking to appoint a Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal Vet! The new practice is fitted out to a high standard including dental x-ray, endoscopy and ultrasound machines. The client base is expanding rapidly, so there is an opportunity to be part of the continued growth.
General first opinion practice and the role would involve a mixture of medical and surgical cases. The caseload can be tailored to your individual interests and skills. Typical caseloads include general soft tissue surgery such as routine neutering, lump removals, diagnostic imaging, and dentistry.
The practice has an experienced team of vets and nurses. Recently moved into a large modern building.
The practice is well equipped with surgical and diagnostic tools, and we carry out as much work as we can in-house.
CPD is funded and a fee-earning certificate would be encouraged if desired.
The successful candidate will have experience in a clinical setting and be comfortable to carry out routine consultations, investigations, and surgery without supervision.
Also consider newly qualified vets as full support can be given.
A friendly approach to clients and the ability to work well as part of a team is essential.
Some experience in emergency medicine would be beneficial, though not essential.
