We’re working with a genuinely special small animal practice in Northampton that is about to open the doors to a brand-new, purpose-built clinic this spring. This is a rare opportunity to join a team at a pivotal moment, combining the excitement of a new facility with the stability of an established client base and long-standing team.

What makes this role stand out is not just the new building. It is the people and the culture.

This is a close-knit, experienced team that has already been through more than most practices ever will. Following the loss of their previous site in a devastating fire, they pulled together, supported one another, and continued delivering exceptional care without compromising their values. That resilience has shaped a culture built on trust, kindness, and doing the right thing for every patient.

You will be joining a practice where support is always there, opinions are valued, and collaboration is a given, not a buzzword.

The new clinic will offer modern facilities, excellent equipment, and a well-connected location with easy access to the M1, rail links, and Luton Airport. It is the perfect blend of fresh start and proven success.

The role offers real flexibility. You can shape it around your strengths, whether you enjoy a mix of consults and surgery or would prefer a consult-only position. You will have the freedom to manage your own caseload, backed by a capable and supportive nursing and client care team.

This is a practice where clients trust you. You will have the time and clinical freedom to work cases up properly, build meaningful relationships, and practice to a high standard without unnecessary pressure.

They are looking for an experienced small animal vet who is confident in routine practice and comfortable with some sole charge. More importantly, they want someone who is kind, approachable, and values being part of a team that genuinely looks after each other.

If you have ever felt like just another name on a rota, this will feel very different.

What is on offer:

  • Salary £45,000 to £65,000 depending on experience

  • Flexible working of 25 to 40 hours per week

  • No out of hours or on call

  • 1 in 3 Saturdays only

  • Bank holidays on a light rota with shorter days

  • Closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day

Plus:

  • Paid RCVS and VDS

  • Generous CPD with real support for your interests

  • Pension scheme

  • Staff discounts and lifestyle perks

  • Brand new, modern facilities and equipment

  • Free parking

  • A genuinely supportive and friendly team environment

This is more than just a new job. It is a chance to join a team that has proven its strength, values its people, and is starting an exciting new chapter in a fantastic new space.

If you are looking for a role where you can feel proud of where you work and truly enjoy being part of the team, this is one to explore.
