An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 1st opinion surgical and medical Veterinary Surgeon to join our clients friendly and supportive team in Ashton-in-Makerfield!
They are proud to be an eco-practice! You’ll have a varied caseload, with opportunities to develop specialism if wished.
Rota and salary
36 hours over a 4-day week (9.00am - 6.00pm),
1 in 5 Saturdays (9.00-12.00)
No out of hours
Salary of up to £60,000 depending on experience
About:
Their premises are both light and spacious and are fully equipped with x ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, tonometry, in-house labs, and bipolar diathermy. Both surgeries have dedicated ventilation systems with positive pressure operating rooms to provide a healthy working environment.

Location:
They're right in between Liverpool and Manchester if the city lights appeal, or short distances away from numerous country parks and areas to hike, relax or sip tea (or beer!) as you fancy. If beaches are for you, we're just half an hour away from Southport and New Brighton, and links to major motorways are close by if you want to get further away.
About:
They have 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Veterinary Nurses (including 2 Advanced nurses), 2 VCAs and a team of dedicated receptionists lead by their practice manager.

Applicant Requirements:
You will be an enthusiastic Vet Surgeon with some post qualification experience preferably (although they are able to support newly qualified vets too). You must be a team player who enjoys sharing good practice with colleagues as well as learning from their experience and examples.
